two hot spots on the coast of Chile. We ate a hearty breakfast at their hotel (amazing breakfast
buffet, btw) before our two-hour bus ride because we knew it was going to be a longggg day.
I am so glad we made that little trip, because Valparaíso is seriously one of the top ten
coolest places I have EVER been! I loved the aesthetic of the little houses stacked on top
of each other on the hillside and I could not get over how beautiful all of the graffiti was.

Well we asked him how much it would cost to get from Point A to Point B and he said the equivalent of $1 USD. We excitedly got into the car and we realized he wasn't taking us where we wanted... He was taking us to the center of town rather than the beach so we asked him to take us to the beach (literally 10 blocks away) and he said it would cost $6 USD... We were fine with that and then once we got the beach he kept driving and told us that we wouldn't be able to find good restuarants here so he drove us a little further up the beach (about 10 min) where there would be a lot of restaurants. When we got there, and asked him how much it would cost, he told us $20 USD. I don't know if that sounds like a lot, but it was such a huge jump from the $1 USD he promised us, when we only went a little further than we initially asked. HUMPH!
