Turkey Day 2011

This year, Thanksgiving landed on my nana's birthday!!! We didn't want to make her trek all the way to our house on her birthday so we decided we would have a small breakfast at her house in the morning and then drive back home, cook, and eat dinner at my house that evening.


 Well, it turned out that Nana had a different plan... She decided to wake up at 2 AM ON HER BIRTHDAY so that she could make not one but TWO turkeys, a ham, mashed potatoes, candied yams, posole, AND TAMALESSSSSSS for all of us. Seriously, I have the best nana in the entire world. If there is one person on earth that is going to heaven, it is her (and not just because of her cooking hahaha she is a wonderful person). 

 To make the story short, we pigged out at her house and then came home and pigged out again. It should be called piggie day instead of turkey day.
