"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day. And I believe in miracles."

Bloggin' it up

How many people do you know that can honestly say they love they their job?
After nearly two months of my internship at Events of Santa Barbara, I am still
geeking out
over how amazing this opportunity is. How did I get so lucky?

In addition to working at tons of GORGEOUS events in Santa Barbara
(hehe. That's the name of the company), the interns and I do a lot of office work,
which includes keeping the Facebook, Twitter, and blog up to date.
Yep, you heard me, we have a blog. You should check it out!
We post lots of information about weddings in the Santa Barbara
area as well as random tips to help you design your own wedding.

One of the assistant event coordinators usually does the blogging,
but I got to create a blog introducing the other interns and myself.
It was exciting! As you can imagine, I felt right at home :)

HOORAY FOR HAPPINESS!
In other news, I have a task for my Day Zero Project planned
for this weekend. Stay tuned!

May 8, 2010

When I started the Day Zero Project in October and added
#066: Go to a wedding,
I had no idea that it would be the wedding of one of my sisters.
It just goes to show that we never know what life has in store for us...
The wedding was really small, but it was really beautiful and so much fun.
We have about 800 pictures from that day hahaha but I thought that might
be too many to post so I have included about 70.
Enjoy... (click the photo to enlarge)

Getting ready at our house...

We took about a gazillion pictures as we waited for the ceremony to start

Not gonna lie, Dad look like a G

Before the guests arrived

Time to start the ceremony...

Being the flower girl is intense. Check out her tongue.

Desiree & David Velasquez

More pictures after the ceremony...

Nana :)

Mom and Desiree = twinsies

Things got a little emotional ♥

GILBERT!
He was drawing caricatures of everybody

Kiddies everywhere!

A toast between the families

The first dance

And then everybody else got on the dance floor!

A CONGA LINE! All my doing, of course.

David's dad had a little bar going in the back.
The margaritas were deliciousssss

The tequila shots? Not so much.

Right Jazzy?

You had to be at least sixteen twenty-one to have a shot, though...
Right Ryan?

The cake topper. Hehe.

Saturday night was... eventful, to say the least

But a little drama never hurt anyone, right?

Because in our family, we know that even when things get a little out of control,
we will always have each other. And that is what matters most.

At the end of the night, Haley settled down with a coloring book and an ice cold beer.

HAH.
Jk.
That was just good photography.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
Oh, and congratulations, Des. We love you!
