Party in the U.S.A. Chile

When I bought tickets to the MC concert in 2009, I thought I was just buying tickets to see one of my favorite teeny boppers bounce around on stage. I didn't realize she was literally going to blow me away with her vocal performance. If you are one of the many people that think MC is a talentless Disney product, go see her in concert and then tell me what you think of her. 
After the concert, I told myself that if I ever got the chance to see her sing live again, I had to go!! When I found out she was doing a tour in the southern hemisphere, I was so excited that I almost tricked my friends (non-fans) into going to her concert with me in Peru hahaha.  Luckily (for my friends) Miley set a date to perform in Santiago too, so I did not need to resort to desperate measures. 

 


The line outside of the Estadio Nacional in Santiago was ridiculous.  I was glad when my friend Mel arrived because I was no longer the only person over age 9 (excluding parents). She bought us some souvenirs! 

We were allowed to enter the stadium two hours before showtime so there was a lot of time to kill





At one point, we heard a commotion behind us, so we turned to see what was going on.  We saw a small crowd forming and people screaming "MILLEYYYY" in Chilean accents.Then we ran.



As it turns out, it was not actually Miley hahaha. This girl did look freakishly like her, though.Despite the fact that it wasn't her, people continued to mob her, stare at her, and take pictures.I'm pretty sure she eventually started crying and was escorted to another section by security. 

A popular Chilean artist opened for Miley. He went onstage an hour before the show was supposed to start and his set only lasted like 15 minutes hahah. Awkward... We had no idea who he was but we still managed to have fun while he sang!




AND THEN MILEY TOOK THE STAGE!!!









My outfit didn't match Miley's like it did the last time I went... It just so happens that my leather hotshorts and red leotard were in the laundry, so that was kind of a bummer. But she was great and I am sooo glad we went!  And I am SOOO glad I had a friend that wanted to come with me. Hopefully she still wants to be my friend -- I kind of sang in her ear the entire time. And if you have heard me sing before, you know that "sing" is more of a relative term hahaha.
