"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day. And I believe in miracles."

And so it begins...

I turned 21 last saturday! FINALLY!

On Friday Bryan took me out to Roy's in Newport Beach.
I tried to order a drink but they wouldn't let it slide since it wasn't technically my birthday yet :(
We watched The King's Speech (ummm kind of not as good as people claimed)
and at midnight tried to get into Yardhouse -- but they wouldn't let me either!!!!
Apparently you have to be 21 for 24 hours?? Ridiculous...
We eventually got into D&B's where I drank a delicious apple martini. Cheers!

Here are some camera phone pictures from that night...

On Saturday night all of the friendsies came over and we went to
the Edison hotel in downtown LA. Well... they got in hahahah.
Someone (not saying who) may have had one two many drinks and was not
allowed in the bar (hahaha yikes!!!). It was definitely a crazy night, to say the least.
My sissy Michelle ended up (unknowingly?? accidentally??) ordering bottle service while they
were at the club so you KNOW they had a great time!

Camera battery died :( Hence, camera phone pictures.
P.S. Aren't my friends GORGEOUS??!
P.P.S. I am somewhere exciting right now!
I don't have time to update about it but I will very very soon :)

Part of the Club

Yesterday I went with Bryan & Jim to the Orpheum theater
in LA to watch Aziz Anzari perform his stand up.

It was amazing! I love Aziz and I especially love his alter-ego RAAAAAAAANDY.
(please youtube some videos of his!)

Before the show we went to a little italian restaurant nearby called L'Angolo's.
We shared stuffed mushroom caps and I  enjoyed some delicious crab risotto.
Obviously it was a good night :)

Since I've been a total slacker with my Day Zero Project,
I decided that I had to do SOMETHING before we went out that night.
Sooo, as we were getting all dolled up, I had Bryan teach me how to tie a tie.
I don't know why this was on my list -- it was so easy!
I suppose I have just always felt left out of some exclusive club of awesome
people who know how to tie ties. Well, guess what ladies & gents???
I am now part of the club!

My Seoul Sisters

I was skimming through my Day Zero List, feeling quite unproductive, when I realized
that I unknowingly accomplished a goal this past weekend! It was goal
#064: Have dinner with someone
I have lost touch with.

I am not going to lie -- there was not much effort on my part in accomplishing this goal.
Last week one of my high school volleyball coaches, Mike, texted me and invited me to have
dinner with the old team. All I had to do was show up!

We met in koreatown, at a delicious restaurant that served Korean BBQ.
Never had it? You should -- your table has a built in grill and you get to cook your meat yourself!
Every carnivore's dream!

It was surreal seeing everybody again...
The three years I played volleyball in high school were some of the best in my life.
Our team spent every waking minute together (literally, from 5 AM practices to school
to games to late-night dinners) and they became sort of a family.

We spent the evening catching up, swapping college stories, and of course, pigging out.
I can't even tell you how much I ate that night... or what I ate! I did eat a grilled
octopus tentacle, though. HAHA. Yeah I thought it would be gross too
(I may or may not have screamed at the top of my lungs when someone
decided to "surprise" me by placing one on my plate while I was not looking)
but it tasted just like fried calamari... just not fried, haha. And I love calamari!

Anyway, thank you COACH MIKE (okay okay, I will call you MIKE) for dinner!
And if any volleyball girls are reading this, it was so nice to see you :)

Some pictures Mike emailed us...

Oh and of course we pretended it was Kelsey's birthday so they
could sing for her and give us dessert and make her wear silly glasses haha
